Prof. Dr. Jahanara Alauddin

Prof. Dr. Jahanara Alauddin is the Vice President of the ENT and Head-Neck Cancer Foundation of Bangladesh, a role she assumed in 2024. Previously serving as Secretary General, she brings considerable medical and management experience earned during a long and distinguished career as a senior figure in paediatric anaesthesia in Bangladesh.

Throughout her career Dr. Jahanara Alauddin has been a dedicated educator, providing training to postgraduate students from various medical universities including the Armed Forces Medical University and BIRDEM. As Head of Anaesthesiology at Dhaka Shishu Hospital for over two decades, she helped shape the next generation of anaesthesiologists in Bangladesh.

As Vice President of the ENT Foundation, she continues the work started by her late husband, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Alauddin — ensuring the hospital remains a centre of excellence providing affordable, specialist ENT and head and neck cancer care to the people of Bangladesh.
